Au depart, je n'etais sense donner qu'un coup de pouce pour preparer l'affaire mais finalement, je me suis retrouve responsable de toute la partie minera & paleo. ca m'a pris pas mal de temps mais c'etait sympa a faire et ca m'a permis d'aller jeter un coup d'oeil a la collection de cailloux de l'ANU (cela dit en passant, l'ULg n'a rien a envier aux mineraux et fossiles de l'ANU)
At the beginning, I was only suppose to help for some stuff but finally ended up organizing the whole minera-paleo thing. It took me quite a while to get all done but I love vulgarization so that was good and I could visit ANU rock reserve as well...

9h...les gosses arrivent, c'est parti pour 8h de bruit et d'excitation....mais au final, je m'attendais a quelques chose de plus terribles que ca...du style intermineral mais rien qu'avec des gosses....mais ils se sont tous bien "comportes"
9am...kids are coming...and let's go for 8h of noise and excitement...but afterwards, it wasn't that bad. I was expecting something far more hard than this...like any mineral show but with only kids...that would ahve been horrible...but they behaved themselves quite well.

Monsieur "Diamant" (Jorg) venant nous rendre visite a un stand. Jorg faisait des petites conferences pour les gosses, sur comment fabriquer des diamants artificiellement, ce qu'on fait assez courrament par accident dans notre labo. J'ai ete a l'un de ces mini-talk, c'etait impressionant, Jorg a vraiment un don pour expliquer des choses complexes a n'importe qui, que ce soit des doctorants, les bacheliers ou des gosses de 6ans....
Mister "Diamond" (Joerg) giving us a visit. Joerg was doing small talks for kids about how to make artificial diamond, thing that we do quite often in our lab. I've been to one of these mini-talks, it was quite impressive. Joerg is really awesome to explain complex things for anyone...could be PhD students, undergrads or in this case, down to 6 years old kids.
Tanya travaillant (ou jouant...) au stand de "joaillerie". Les gosses pouvaient fabriquer leurs propres pendentifs en talc en le gravant, poncant, forant etc.....encore une idee de Jorg ;-)
Tanya working (or playing) as a jewellry table. Kids could make their own pendants with talc by carving, polishing and making holes.....another one of Joerg's ideas.
